12 Types of Audit Master Sheet

This is a one page revision sheet on the 12 types of audit in India. It sorts every audit using two simple questions: who asks for it, and who is allowed to sign it. The table covers statutory audit, tax audit, bank branch audit, stock audit, concurrent audit, internal audit, cost audit, secretarial audit, government audit, forensic audit, due diligence and information systems audit. For each one it shows the law or authority behind it, the professional who does it, the report or form it ends in, and how common it is in articleship. Audits required by law are marked with a dark bar and audits asked for by banks, investors or management with a grey bar. Three short boxes at the bottom explain external, internal and government auditors, the three audits done by the CAG, and the four audit opinions under SA 700 and SA 705. Useful for revision.
